Hello! Today, I’m going to share a delicious bibimbap recipe that anyone can easily follow. Bibimbap is a representative Korean dish where various ingredients are beautifully arranged on top of rice and mixed together with a spicy gochujang sauce. It’s a healthy and well-balanced meal, making it perfect to recommend to your foreign friends as well.
First, let me tell you the ingredients you’ll need: 1 bowl of rice, a handful of spinach, half a carrot, half a zucchini, 2 to 3 shiitake mushrooms, some bracken (gosari), 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of gochujang (Korean chili paste), 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and a little bit of toasted sesame seeds or salt. Feel free to substitute the vegetables with whatever you have at home!
The cooking process is very simple. Blanch the spinach briefly in boiling water, rinse it in cold water, squeeze out the excess water, and season lightly with salt and sesame oil. Julienne the carrot, zucchini, and shiitake mushrooms, then sauté each separately in a little oil. Boil the bracken in advance until it becomes soft.
Fry the egg sunny-side-up with a runny yolk. Put warm rice in a bowl, arrange the prepared vegetables nicely on top, then place the fried egg on top. Add gochujang, sesame oil, and toasted sesame seeds or salt.
